Acupuncturist
Navid received his Diploma in Acupuncture from Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TSTCM) and registered with CTCMPAO as acupuncturist (R. Ac.), followed by joining different multidisciplinary clinics. His western medicine background (Ph.D. in Tropical Medical & public Health, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK) with more than 20 years experience along with TCM knowledge enabled him to better understand patient’s body conditions and reach scientifically sound clinical outcomes in compliance with treatment plan and high patient satisfaction. On the scientific side of his activities, Navid acted as faculty member (professor) and advisor to world health organization (WHO) for more than 20 years, published more than 120 papers in peer reviewed journals, sited in PubMed and ISI, and registered 8 national and 2 US patents related to prevention and control of infectious diseases.
Navid main interest in practicing is pain management and trauma related to various diseases/disorders/disabilities, stress-anxiety-depression, insomnia- sleep disturbance, weight management, Fertility, and fibromyalgia by using acupuncture (different needling techniques), acupoints stimulation, moxibustion, Tui Na, cupping, bloodletting, and Gua Sha. He believes “The health sector is a sacred profession, and a health practitioner should devote their life to community health by being passionate, up-to-date, professional, caring for every single life, sharing their knowledge for training, and promoting health for all!”. Navid hobbies are hiking, football, and swimming, while enjoying drawing/painting, writing and poetry.
